Provided over $300,000 in job training funds to local companies for workforce development

Subsidized $35,000 of training provided by Kinzie Corridor companies to employees through matching grants funded by the State of IL funds; also assisted local companies in applying for TIFWork grants which fund 100% of training (putting the Kinzie Corridor in first place in terms of receipt of TIFWorks funds)

Business Incubator

Welcomed more than 40 new start-up companies to the Fulton-Carroll Center Incubator in the past 2 years
Implemented a $3.25 million Capital Improvement Plan-replaced 680 windows, repaired and improved common areas, repaired roof, and implemented various energy efficient measures.
Increased occupancy to more than 90%
Revitalized Business Assistance Program for new businesses
Supported tenant group in planning and hosting the "Kinzie Krawl" networking event, attended by over 200 people.
