GOVERNMENT SERVICES & GRANTS

ICNC helps companies access both public and private resources, including:

  • Finding and securing grant or loan money. Many of the companies in the Kinzie Corridor qualify for assistance under a variety of programs such as 6(b), SBIF, TIF, 504, Empowerment  Zone, and others. Need to know the details of these programs - ask us we can assist in finding what works best for you! Be sure to call us before you spend money on property, people, or machinery.

  • Accessing government services. If you need loading zone signs, street or alley repair, or other services from the city, we can help get you in front of the right people and see that your request is heard.

  • Troubleshooting. We've probably worked with dozens of companies on the very issue you are facing. We'd be happy to share our experience and provide whatever assistance you need.

ICNC is proud of its success in bringing companies’ tax dollars back to the neighborhood. In 2009 we led advocacy efforts for nearly $4 million in street, sidewalk, and alley improvements as part of a City commitment to spend $15 million over thee years to improve local infrastructure. Every single project ICNC requested on behalf of its member companies was funded.

Our assistance to companies applying for SBIF grants has helped them secure $3.6 million for new roofs, windows and other upgrades.   Currently, two million dollars in SBIF funds is scheduled for release which will be used to match local company infrastructure investments dollar for dollar.
