Internship Description:
Intern will use basic knife skills to chop vegetables according to the Chef and/or Kitchen Manager’s specifications, aid in preparing other ingredients for daily recipes, and performing ongoing cleaning and sanitation including dishwashing, sweeping, and mopping as needed throughout the shift.
Internship Objectives:
The intern will build knife skills, practice mise en place (professional kitchen organization), learn some aspects of the recipe development, and increase knowledge and awareness of safety and sanitation.

- Must have a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate

Pay:
- $13.50/hour for 160 hours
- Interns will submit their time sheet on a biweekly schedule and their internship stipend will also be given to them on a biweekly schedule.
- Interns are considered independent contractors and they will need to complete a 1099; please note, no taxes are taken out of your stipend check.
- Anticipated Start Date: March 2021
- Anticipated End Date: June 2021
- Number of Hours per Week: 10 - 15hrs
- Days and Hours: Monday - Friday from 2:00 - 8:00 PM
- Work Location: The Hatchery (135 N. Kedzie Ave.)
