Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Prep Person to join the VietFive Coffee team. As a Food Prep Person, you will be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, assembling food items on our menu, and ensuring that all food is prepared safely and efficiently in accordance with food handling guidelines. Your role will play a key part in maintaining the high quality of our food offerings while supporting the kitchen's smooth operations
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare and clean vegetables, meats, and other ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes.
● Assemble food items, including Banh Mi sandwiches, empanadas and other menu items, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
● Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation standards.
● Properly store ingredients and food items to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
● Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the team when stock needs replenishing.
● Follow all food handling and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance with local health and safety standards.
● Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and tasks as needed.
● Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
● Previous experience in food prep or a kitchen environment is preferred.
● Familiarity with food handling policies and sanitation regulations.
● Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
● Strong communication and teamwork skills.
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
● Passion for food and a willingness to learn more about Vietnamese cuisine.
