THE OPPORTUNITY
The Fulfillment Technician is a crucial role and will report directly to the Operations Director. This role is responsible for ensuring that our inventory levels, both of inputs, outputs and finished goods are maintained in accordance with Periodic Automatic Replacement (PAR) levels. Additionally, they are tasked with managing vendor relationships and working with other stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure optimization of company-wide logistics, product transportation and fulfillment are maintained in a regular and timely manner. They are also responsible for ensuring our customers have a great experience from order placement to delivery and that timelines, updates and shipments are organized and thoroughly planned out.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate would have previous experience with previous inventory and fulfillment experience in a highly regulated and delicate product environment such as food products, cannabis, pharmaceuticals and/or alcohol. Experience adhering to strict SOPs and rigorous quality standards are important for success in this role. Applicants should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, can and are willing to contribute to other operations roles as necessary, and are highly motivated and detail-oriented.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
I. Inventory Maintenance: Monitor PAR levels daily and plan reordering schedules and deliveries to ensure no input materials are out of stock. Additionally, coordinate with the Operations Manager to plan deliveries and manage production schedules to maintain finished goods inventory levels.
II. Finished Goods Logging: Work with the Quality and R&D Technicians to release quarantined material into inventory and properly log all necessary documentation in our Inventory Management System (IMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
III. Fulfillment Accuracy: Liaise with Revenue team representatives to ensure order accuracy and verify Sales Order (SO) batch accuracy against physical inventory counts.
IV. Packed Product Compliance: Ensure all units are properly labeled, packed and shipped in compliance with industry standards, and fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner to meet or beat KPIs.
V. Logistics: Schedule pickups and allocate inventory to fulfill orders, communicate shipments and timelines with customers, and remain on-call during normal working hours for in-transit shipments.
VI. Record Maintenance: Utilize our Inventory Management System (IMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) softwares to record and log shipments and adjust inventory levels (input, output, and finished goods).
VII. Quality Management: Follow all defined current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP) and strict SOPs to ensure the highest level of product safety.
VIII. Compliance Communications: Interface and share QC/QA reports, COAs and CoCs with customers and manufacturers when requested.
IX. Facilities Maintenance: Perform assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe production environment, in addition to regular cleaning and reorganization of our inventory areas.
X. Other Contributions: Step into the production floor and aid in general operations activities when necessary, including, but not limited to, production of finished goods.
YOU’LL BE SET UP FOR SUCCESS IF YOU HAVE
I. Ability to follow regulations and rigorous quality standards through daily operations and strict SOPs, and proactively identify and mitigate product quality and safety risks.
II. Highly proficient in good documentation practices, including fulfillment record and data organization skills and general record keeping, both physical and digital.
III. Acute problem-solving skills coupled with a strong detail-oriented persona.
IV. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment, both internally and externally.
V. Strong interpersonal and communication skills both internal and external to coordinate fulfillment workflows with other team members and customers awaiting products.
VI. Ability to stand for extended periods, and kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas, in addition to repetitive use of hands for all functions. VII. Strong familiarity with ERP and IMS software, knowledge of fulfillment KPIs and experience interacting with 3PL providers and software.
VIII. Strong background in ingredient, beverage and/or CPG fulfillment.
IX. Must be able to lift 10 lbs with each hand and lift up to 50 lbs.
X. 3+ years of fulfillment experience. (Preferred)
