Printworks is a rapidly growing digital print shop on the Near West Side of Chicago. Printworks produces a wide variety of printed products including marketing materials, business essentials, and signage. Printworks specializes in small print runs and works predominately in the Arts and Entertainment industry.

Position Activities & Responsibilities
The Lead Development Representative is responsible for interacting with inbound sales leads via email, phone, and in person visits. The Lead Development Representative will work directly with the Print Manager in front of house operations and client communications. We are looking for an organized, confident, personable, and engaging individual to join our customer service focused shop.
Printing is a complex and technical industry with a lot of industry jargon. A (1) month training program in the print shop will be part of the introductory period to build confidence and experience in the Print Industry. Printworks will provide on-the-job training for all technical aspects of this role. The candidate can expect detailed, hands-on instruction with a supervisor throughout the training curriculum. Upon completion of training, the candidate can expect a working knowledge of many aspects of the print industry and confidence in understanding client requests and Printworks services.
The candidate should enjoy working within a small team environment and should be comfortable working with a variety of technology and applications. This position is primarily a sales support role, however, the candidate can expect that there will be times when the production will need production and finishing support in the print shop. This position reports to the Print Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
• Engage and welcome walk-in clients
• Process client & courier pick-ups
• Process / confirm client payments
• Process & direct inbound leads
• Answer & direct telephone calls
• Create print quotes as needed
• Receive & process print orders
• Provide project status updates to client
• Communicate with production team on timelines and production turnaround
• Assist print manager as needed
• Assist production team as needed
Capabilities & Qualifications
• Positive, outgoing, and engaging attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• An extreme eye for detail, printing requires nothing less than perfection
• Motivation and willingness to learn new skills
• Interest and ability to learn how to operate highly technical equipment
• Able to maintain strong, positive, collaborative working relationships within a small team
• Experience in operating Apple desktop computers
• Experience working in design software applications including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and InDesign a plus but not required
• Ability to follow strict safety procedures
• An innate sense of curiosity

Position Structure & Benefits
• This is a full-time, onsite position; 40 Hours per week; 9AM through 5PM, Monday-Friday
• Wages start at $18.00 per hour
• Benefits Include a 100% Employer sponsored health care plan after 90-day probationary period and one-week paid vacation after 6 Months.
