THE OPPORTUNITY
The Production Technician is a crucial role and will report directly to the Operations Director. This role is responsible for all steps in the production process of our emulsions, including weighing and measuring ingredients, operating a semi-automatic production system, and post-production handling of emulsions to prepare for delivery to our customers. They are also responsible for proper logging and recording of batch records in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). All products created at Natuur will be held to the highest of quality and consistency standards. The role is based in a cGMP compliant manufacturing facility. We will train candidates who lack experience but possess the right attitude.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate would have previous experience with cannabinoid product handling in a state-approved facility, or previous production experience in a highly regulated environment such as food products, pharmaceuticals and/or alcohol. Experience adhering to strict SOPs and rigorous quality standards are important for success in this role. Applicants should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and are highly motivated and detail-oriented.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
I. Quality Management: Follow all defined current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP) and strict SOPs to ensure the highest level of product safety.
II. Batching and Production: Prepare, measure, produce and log production of hemp emulsions in accordance with State, local and cGMP standards through batch records in our IMS/ERP system.
III. Equipment Operation: Master and control all equipment in a cGMP food production grade facility including scales, mixers, pumps, high pressure homogenizers, pasteurizers, bulk batch production and holding tanks, and other ancillary equipment.
IV. Equipment Maintenance: Perform assigned duties required to perform sanitation procedures, preventative and regular service, maintenance of records and logs, and troubleshoot applicable issues during production.
V. Facilities Maintenance: Perform assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe production environment, in addition to regular cleaning, sanitation and maintenance of ancillary equipment and tools.
VI. Packing and Labeling: Weigh, measure, pack, and label finished products to prepare for fulfillment, and assist in tracking and logging batch numbers, lot numbers and expiration dates in our IMS/ERP system.
VII. Collaboration: Work with other team members to execute production schedules, meet department goals around efficiencies, yields and costs, and assist in other operations departments if necessary.
YOU’LL BE SET UP FOR SUCCESS IF YOU HAVE
I. Ability to follow regulations and rigorous quality standards through daily operations and strict SOPs
II. Proficient in good documentation practices, including batch record and data organization skills
III. Acute problem-solving skills coupled with strong mechanical aptitude and ability to service complex equipment
IV. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
V. Ability to stand for extended periods, and kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas, in addition to repetitive use of hands for all functions
VI. Must be able to lift 10 lbs with each hand and lift up to 50 lbs
VII. Knowledge of hemp or marijuana product manufacturing (Preferred)
VIII. Knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or brewing manufacturing (Preferred)
IX. 1+ years of industry experience (Preferred)
X. 2+ years of laboratory experience (Preferred)
