Full Time Accountant Assistant / Project Accountant @ Midwest Fence Corp. - Chicago, IL

Compensation:
$20-25 an hour based on experience
 
Summary:
We are a 76-year-old well-established family owned company looking for a motivated, trustworthy, and personable individual to join our Midwest Fence family. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a small team environment but be self-driven and on task. The position will focus on managing all necessary documentation and billing in order to help oversee a job from start to finish.
 
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintains all records, files, and customer information in our accounting system.
  • Create and process customer invoices, waivers of lien, 702/03 forms and other forms necessary in order to receive payment.
  • Respond to all account receivable inquiries in a prompt manner.
  • Initiate, track and maintain all records/files associated with collection activities for each account to include negotiated payment schedules, telephone call documentation and collection letters.
  • Assist estimators with job related paperwork and documentation
  • Review job costs for accuracy, completion, and profitability.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree – (business preferred) with 1+ year of experience in an administrative role
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure documentation. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers & customers.
  • Strong math knowledge and the ability to think critically.
  • Willingness to adapt to and investigate new technologies in order to better perform the job successfully.
  • Proficient in Windows 10, Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel, and quickly be able to learn other customer and project owner web portals.
