The company located in Skokie, IL is a new contract manufacturer of non-alcoholic beverages, focusing on cold brewed coffee, tea, and functional waters. It is growing and is seeking capable applicants for the role of Brewery Production Specialist who are excited to join on the ground floor and grow with a new company in the exploding non-alcoholic beverage sector.
The Brewery Production Specialist will be a key collaborator with the Director of Operations/Executives as well as contribute to general labor work throughout the facility, including but not limited to:

This is a full-time position with the ability to work multiple shifts if needed dependent upon production demand schedule, including some second shift and weekends.

The Brewery Production Specialist will be a key collaborator with the Director of Operations/Executives as well as contribute to general labor work throughout the facility, including but not limited to:
- Assisting in the setup, breakdown and cleaning of canning line and all other equipment
- Working the canning line either loading or packing cans
- Pack pallets for distribution, using forklift or pallet jack
- Fill kegs and bags and clean related equipment
- Maintain overall cleanliness of production space and ensure equipment is clean and organized daily following Good Manufacturing Practices
- Receive and unload shipping trucks; coordinate outgoing logistics
- Assist Director of Operations with production process of coffee, tea, and waters
- Assist with inventory control and overall quality control
- Complete daily paperwork including general record keeping, production, cleaning, and maintenance logs
- General warehouse and brewery maintenance in conjunction with the director of operations
- Safely handle and deploy cleaning chemicals
- May make local deliveries as-needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Being a food production company cleanliness and food safety are of the utmost importance. The ideal applicant will have the following:
- Strong understanding of the importance of cleanliness and food safety
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to safety rules, food safety SOPs, recipes, procedure and maintenance instructions
- Experience in brewery, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is a plus but not necessary
- Precision and attention to detail
- Comfortable professionally interacting with public and private guests
- Appreciation for producing safe, high-quality and consistent beverages
- Enthusiasm and knowledge of the beverage industry and market is desired
- Ability to communicate effectively with a small team of co-workers and executives
- Ability to work without supervision as needed
Physical demands:
- The candidate must be able to operate a forklift and be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
- This position requires lengthy time on your feet (up to 8+ hours/day)
- Manual dexterity and aptitude to operate a variety of hand tools
- Frequently required to use taste and smell senses
- Frequently required push/pull items greater than 100 lbs.
- Computer skills for logging and record keeping of production and safety SOPs
