Position Overview
Coalition Strength & Conditioning is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time coach to join their team. Primary responsibilities will be leading and assisting in functional fitness and barbell club classes, being an administrative resource for the team and members, and growing your personal training clientele. They have functional fitness classes available now for the right applicant and they have flexibility in creating a schedule that provides work-life balance for assistant coaching, barbell club, and personal training hours.
As part of the team, you will work closely with individuals of various fitness levels, guiding them to improve technique, strength, and performance in all strength & conditioning modalities, including, but not limited to Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, and more. It is also required to have a functional background in movement assessment, corrective exercise, nutritional guidance, understanding the role of motivation, and demonstrated ability to communicate, manage and foster member and client relationships.

Responsibilities
· Lead, instruct, and command our functional fitness and barbell club classes, creating an environment that provides each member technical and motivational feedback.
· As an assistant coach, your primary role would be to work with foundational athletes in class that require expertise to build their overall skillsets and movement confidence.
· Must be able to work with and advance athletes of all skill levels, from foundational to advanced.
· Competently progress and regress movements and exercises for athletes based on athlete’s ability and mindset
· Conduct assessments and provide ongoing feedback to members of movement quality and output.
· Motivate & inspire members to explore their limits and achieve their respective goals.
· Assist with administrative task in concert with our leadership team, including, but not limited to understanding and implementing our policies and procedures, utilizing our software system to understand new member leads and the member sign-up process, ensure accurate record-keeping of member attendance and progress, gym clean-up and maintenance, assistance in developing our social media, events, and workshop schedule.
· Lead individual sessions with personal training clientele, tailoring the program to suite the client’s wants and needs.
· Stay up to date with the latest trends, research, and techniques in the field.
· Collaborate with other coaches and staff to maintain cohesive and efficient operation within the facility.
Qualifications
· Minimum of two years coaching experience coaching Olympic weightlifting.
· Minimum of two years coaching experience with gymnastics, specifically progressions and regressions for handstand walks, handstand push-ups, and muscle-ups.
· Minimum of two years coaching experience in functional fitness group exercise setting or similar.
· Proficient in coaching individuals of varying fitness levels.
· Preferred certifications include base level NASM, ACSM or NSCA certifications, CrossFit Level-1 or greater, USAW-1 or comparable, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Exercise Science or related field
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive training environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary
~$35,000-$40,000
· Base Salary: $1,500/month
· $25-$45/class as lead coach, based on experience
· $20/class as assistant coach
