You will:
- Learn how to grow, harvest, cut, and package craft ice cubes
- Operate a bandsaw to cut various sizes of precision ice cubes
- Move and empty scrap ice bins
- Breakdown, clean, and dry bandsaws
- Clean and dry floors
- Record units produced daily
- Have a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency, while constantly evaluating work practices in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Meet output goals daily
- Perform cleaning, follow SOPs, and comply with all company policies
- Communicate effectively and work well with other departments
- Work towards achieving departmental goals around efficiencies, yields, and cost
Required skills and competences:
- Ability to work on your feet for over eight hours at a time
- Ability to work in a cold to freezing manufacturing environment (cooler temp. at ±20°F and freezer temp. at ±10°F) damp / wet areas
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly, with ease, and care
- Ability to twist / turn and stand / walk on a continuous basis
- Ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as necessary
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing needs and circumstances
- Be an open and good communicator and team player with respect for coworkers, supervisors, and managers
- Follow instructions and perform tasks with attention to detail
- Focused, committed, and reliable work attitude
- Embrace giving and receiving feedback
We offer:
- 8-hour shifts with overtime (Monday to Friday; open to periodic weekend work)
- Start at $17/hour and move up to $18/hour after 90-day trial period
