Customer Service & Sales Support Specialist - Chicago, IL

Spice company located at Irving and Ravenswood is in need of a Customer Service and Sales Support Specialist.

What you’ll do: 

COMMUNICATION 


  • Answer all phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner. 
  • Counsel customers on use of products with knowledgeable tips. 
  • Handle all sales broker calls regarding orders and other product questions. 
  • Relay production issues and customer feedback to sales and marketing teams 
  • Be a true customer advocate within all internal departments 
  • Document and resolve customer complaints 
  • Educate and upsell customers 


ORDER PROCESSING 

  • Enter all orders into QuickBooks and circulate to sales and production departments. 
  • Confirm and verify all information on each purchase order received. 
  • Create a prioritized list for fulfillment and shipping of daily wholesale account and website orders. 
  • Work with the operations and production teams to ensure timely processing of all key account orders. 
  • Invoice all orders within 24 hours of shipment 


SALES SUPPORT 

  • Document, process and fulfill sample requests from sales brokers, customers and in-house staff
  • Maintain office sample stock 
  • Participate in product taste tests 
  • Maintain documents for sample logs, promotion schedules, and website updates
  • Conduct telemarketing campaigns to qualified leads quarterly
  • Create, analyze, present and maintain reports regarding customer sales, sample expenses, telemarketing activities and lead follow ups
  • Complete new item and new vendor paperwork as needed
  • Develop and maintain database of customer requirements 

Qualifications 

  • 3-4 years customer service or administrative experience 
  • Microsoft Office, intermediate experience 
  • Outlook 
  • Excel: be able to do basic functions, formatting and running pivot tables 
  • Word: letters, correspondence and mail merge 
  • PowerPoint: basic editing 
  • WordPress, Woo Commerce experience a plus 
  • Some sales experience preferred 
  • Food knowledge preferred 
  • QuickBooks, or similar order entry software experience preferred 
  • Extremely detail oriented 
  • Exceptionally organized 
  • CRM experience a plus 
  • Technology proficient

Salary: $35,000 – $45,000
