As Assistant Kitchen Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Prep room operations
- Maintaining daily prep room schedule and functioning team
- Maintaining freshness, quality and appeal of all of our prepared products
- Trimming, cutting, wrapping, packaging, labeling, displaying, water and rotating produce
- Follow recipes accurately
- Handling and packaging a variety of nuts and seeds
- Safely operate job-related equipment
- Daily inventory of all product
- Weekly inventory on supplies
- Ordering of herbs and cheese
- Create employee schedules
- Resume all responsibilities of kitchen in absence of Kitchen Manager
Requirements you will need:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 2+ years of kitchen related experience
- 1+ years of leadership/kitchen management experience
- Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- Open to alternative cooking methods
- Attention to detail
- Hardworking
- Positive attitude
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Be able to lift 40+ pounds
- Chicago Food Sanitation License
- Bilingual preferred
