Two Sisters Catering is a catering and restaurant company that executes Southern Inspired meals and desserts that deliver on the promise of homemade goodness. In the restaurant we have our signature wraps, salads, desserts, beverages and a curated menu served from our steam table for pick-up and carry out. Our catering menu provides hot or cold meal options that can feed a group of 10, a crowd of 50 or more.
The prep cook assists the chef/cook in preparing the food, maintains the cooking environment clean and safe for all staff members and takes on culinary tasks as they arise. The job requires physical endurance as well as mental determination and involves working in high stress conditions. The work schedule is hectic, not always having set hours and requiring working in shifts, early mornings, nights, and during holidays.

Objectives:
- The intern will obtain a business acumen.
- Understanding the daily operations of a catering and carry out restaurant.
- Learn how to complete a consultation for catering orders (simple pick-up or a detailed delivery and or setup and serve).
Skills + Requirements:
- Be over the age of 18
- Have your ServSafe Food Handler Certification and Food Allergen Certificate (or be willing to obtain prior to start date)
- The job requires physical endurance as well as mental determination and involves working in high stress conditions.
- Must be able to lift 50 – 100 pounds
- Have a gasp of checklist and reading recipes/menus, working on small – large appliances.
- Must demonstrate proper knowledge of health and sanitation requirements – personal hygiene and working in a commercial kitchen setting.
- Each intern will need to have sleep resistant shoes and black pants (shirts, aprons and hair nets or hats will be provided by Two Sisters Catering, LLC).
- Having access to a car and a valid driver’s license would be a plus but not required.
Compensation:
- Interns will submit their time sheet on a biweekly schedule and their internship stipend will also be given to them on a biweekly schedule.
- Interns are considered independent contractors and they will need to complete a W9 form; please note, no taxes are taken out of your stipend check.
