Line Cook (Plus More!) - Chicago, IL
Catering company located at The Hatchery (135 N Kedzie) in is in need of numerous Line Cooks. In addition to cooking wings, catfish, egg rolls, making desserts, you will be crossed trained on the POS system, and delivering food for curbside pickup.
We are looking for skilled cooks who love being around and serving food, have experience handling a knife and other kitchen equipment, and who are quick learners eager to hone their skills.
Part time and Full time positions and flexible schedules are available. Greet and interact with curb side customers as we deliver and prepare food for them, point of sale/retail experience a plus. Maintain all health and sanitation standards.

Hours of Operation:
10:00 - 9:00 PM Tuesday - Friday and 12:00 - 6:00 PM on weekends.
Weekend only shift is an option.
Hourly Rate:
$14 - $15 an hour depending on experience.

- Prepare food per recipe and instructions and pack finished products.
- Clean and sanitize work area per protocol.
- Must be able to work quickly and remain calm under pressure.
- Must be able to work as part of a team, and also be efficient and productive with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced, high volume kitchen required.
- Formal culinary training is a PLUS.
- Point of sale/retail experience a plus.
- Must be punctual in attending scheduled shifts.
- Self-motivated, organized, efficient, careful quality to detail.
- Food Manager license required or be able to get it.
