JOB TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor

Description of Position:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the execution of a thorough, timely and detailed maintenance program. The Maintenance Supervisor will maintain the Preventative Maintenance Program and react to day-to-day maintenance issues in real time including, brewhouse, cellar, filtration, packaging, chilling, HVAC and lighting systems across the facility. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and will regularly communicate with vendors, supervisors and members of the Leadership Team.

Duties of Position:
- Execute all necessary reactive maintenance across the facility
- Create and manage PM program for brewery
- Schedule and execute all planned maintenance
- Work with other department operators, supervisors & managers to work on efficiency and process improvements
- Team up with Plant Manager and supplier technicians for CAPEX & Maintenance planning
- Build relationships with vendors, technicians, and local supply houses
- Work Order creation and planning
- Report Work Order completion on Maintenance
- Guide/oversee Maintenance Technicians re: daily/weekly planning/PM’s/reactive maintenance/process improvements
- Create training plans, SOP’s, 5S, department organization
- Facilitate reconciliation of employee issues, conflict resolution
- Conduct Investigation meetings with employees when issues arise
- Create training plans for employees and operators to support a successful maintenance program
EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering and/or Military or Trade School Training, or other technical related discipline.
- Minimum (3) years of experience in plant maintenance with strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, air compressors, chillers, boilers, water systems, Building Automation Systems, wastewater systems, and HVAC systems.
- Minimum (1) year of related experience in Maintenance supervision in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and aptitude to repair hydraulic and pneumatic components that include pumps, valves, cylinders, and compressors.
- Working knowledge and experience in manufacturing and packaging automation, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI’s (Human Machine Interface).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience documenting maintenance and repair activities. (CMMS) experience desired.
- Ability to obtain bids, review contracts, and favorably negotiate goods and services for the company.
- Proficiency in computer systems and applications including but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), CMMS.
- Must be able to work effectively with peers as well as independently.
- Ability to properly assess problems and drive appropriate and timely responses.
- Ability to perform equipment improvements and enhancements to optimize production with positive contributions to safety, quality, cost, and service.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work and/or be available flexible hours, including off-shifts, weekends and holidays to support 24/7 Brewery operations.
