Parcel Invoice Auditor - Chicago, IL

Primary Function
Individual will work in a multi-client environment with a primary focus on auditing parcel invoices according to contract terms, resolving invoicing discrepancies and identifying root cause for correction.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze client parcel invoices for invalid or irregular charges
  • Audit parcel invoices by interpreting and applying parcel carrier rate provisions and customer contract
  • Ensure credits are applied to the associated client accounts
  • Log all auditing activity for internal and external reports
  • Ensure account audits are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Keep visibility of potential rate and carrier rule changes and carrier compliance or service interruptions
  • Maintain SOP documentation for primary role
  • Assist clients and carriers to troubleshoot invoice and payment issues
  • Provide back-up support to teammates as needed
  • Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all clients
  • Report client feedback to management, including any signs of client dissatisfaction
  • Answer client inquiries regarding parcel services
  • Assist and train fellow employees as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned

Experience and Education:
  • 2+ years logistics and transportation industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of parcel operations
  • Must possess Microsoft Excel software proficiency
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires strong time management and organization skills
  • Requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Requires negotiation skills

Working Conditions:
Sedentary role with a fast-paced work environment. Open floor plan with moderate noise. Must be able to use a computer and phone to conduct business. This includes the ability to use hands, talk, see, and hear.
