Project Estimator (3 Available Positions) @ Midwest Fence - Chicago, IL

Family owned fence company. Primarily provides fencing for the construction industry and IDOT.

Project Estimator I: 0-3 years of Experience
Job Summary:
The Junior Construction Estimator is responsible for assisting senior estimators in preparing cost estimates for construction projects. This role requires strong attention to detail and an understanding of construction techniques and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess construction feasibility
• Compile and organize data on labor, materials, and equipment costs
• Prepare and present cost estimates to management and clients
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in construction estimating or related role
• Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary:
$20-$30/hour
+Overtime



Project Estimator II: 3-5 years of experience
Job Summary:
The Mid-Level Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess construction feasibility
• Compile and organize data on labor, materials, and equipment costs
• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates to management and clients
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates
• Mentor junior estimators and assist in their development

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating or related role
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary:
$30-$35/hour
+Overtime



Project Manager / Estimator (Senior Estimator III)
Job Summary:
The Senior Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for large, complex construction projects. This role requires a high level of experience and expertise in construction techniques and the ability to lead a team of estimators.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of estimators in preparing cost estimates for construction projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess construction feasibility
• Compile and organize data on labor, materials, and equipment costs
• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates to management and clients
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates
• Mentor junior and mid-level estimators and assist in their development

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in construction estimating or related role
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead a team of estimators and work independently.

Salary:
$35-$50/hour
+Overtime
