Responsibilities
- 3-5 years experience in metal working
- Will manage a team of approximately 20 Quality Inspectors in a Metal Finishing Job Shop.
- Must have a knowledge of Quality Systems – (we are ISO:9001 Certified.)
- Must be familiar with Quality Documentation including 8D, PPAP, Control Plans, 1st Article, Lean Manufacturing etc…
- Comprehension of industry and governmental specifications;
- Understand Inspection Sampling procedures and facilitate their use
- Participate in quality related theory and skill teaching Maintains all quality related records and documentation
- Implements a regular schedule for inspection and calibration of all measuring and test equipment.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
- The individual must have good communications skills, both written and verbal with both Company and Customer personnel.
- Requires organizing, planning, and motivational skills.
- Develop decision-making abilities regarding quality acceptance and rejection in the Inspectors
- Experience in the automotive industry or other manufacturing QA department is a plus.
