Rental Asset Specialist - Chicago, IL
GENERAL:
The Rental Asset Specialist is responsible for all daily activities associated with the rental equipment. They support the QA Manager by overseeing incoming and outgoing equipment in the warehouse. They are the key employee for the cleaning, testing, repairing, and tracking of equipment. This specialist will also aid Service Technicians in preparing for their daily appointments.
REPORTS TO:
Quality Assurance Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assisting and supporting the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment returned to warehouse.
• Testing and repairing equipment.
• Updating test and maintenance log in the system.
• Tracking incoming and outgoing rental equipment using scanner and computer.
• Packing and shipping broken units.
• Assembling equipment for Service Technicians.
• Preparing all equipment for Service Technicians on a daily basis.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary cleaning and testing area.
• Work closely with Warehouse Team and Service Technicians.
• Ordering cleaning and testing supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be dedicated to providing outstanding customer service
• Must have willingness and ability to work an extended workweek, including some evenings and weekends
• Ability to safely lift, push or pull up to 150 lbs.
• Work/drive safely in all aspects of the job
• Must have a valid current driver license in the state that the applicant resides
• Ability to persuade and motivate
• Ability to work effectively across the organization
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time – up to/exceeding 8 hours per day
• Fast-paced environment
• Heads-down environment
• Direct exposure to hospitals and surgery centers
• General/mild exposure to hazardous chemicals (non-flammable/nontoxic
