Member Spotlight - Ayalytical Instruments
Ayalytical Instruments is a manufacturer and distributor of petroleum testing equipment who has been an active ICNC member. Their 2701 W. Fulton business location was co-founded by husband and wife team Cristina and Juan Ayala 8 years ago. They also have an office in Houston, TX. They have been actively growing their business with the help of ICNC.
Ayalytical Instruments applied and were awarded a Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) grant which will reimburse them for improving external building improvements and architectural details. Hannah Jones, the Economic Development Director, facilitated with the SBIF grant application.
Lauro Arias, International Trade Center Director of the Illinois SBDC at ICNC, has been working with them to increase their export business. He introduced Ayalytical instruments to the Export-Import Bank of the United States who provides low cost export credit insurance and connected Ayalytical with brokers. In addition, Daniel House of Ayalytical has received training in export compliance at an export workshop at ICNC in 2017. All which confirms the company’s commitment to exports.
Two years ago, Hannah introduced Juan to Nancy Kramer who has assisted Juan in sourcing and placing candidates. He has increased his workforce to 19 staff members which is a 25% increase since working with the ICNC Workforce Development office. Juan and Cristina are committed to hiring local employees.
