OVERVIEW:
Great Central Brewing Company (GCBC) is looking for an experienced and talented Warehouse Lead to be a part of our team. GCBC is a craft-dedicated contract brewing facility in the heart of downtown Chicago. Our Warehouse Lead will be responsible for conducting all warehouse operations in a safe and efficient manner that delivers the highest quality product on schedule for our brewery clients.

Range $18-$21 Varies by experience. This is a full-time hourly position (40 hours / week) with benefits, including health insurance, that begin after a successful 90-day introductory period. EXPECTATIONS:
- Adhere to GCBC’s quality standards in all areas of the Brewery as set forth by the Plant Manager, Director of Packaging and Director of Quality
- Responsible for all shipping and receiving
- Communicate with suppliers and clients as it pertains to shipping and receiving
- Create BOL’s for all outbound loads
- Track & document all inbound shipments (variances vs order)
- Complete weekly inventory in the warehouse, documenting all variances
- Reporting, investigation and accurate communications for work related injuries
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Develop and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Communicate effectively and work well with other departments
- Work towards achieving departmental goals
- Comply with all company policies
- Have a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, while constantly evaluating work practices in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Perform preventative maintenance based on established schedules, ensuring that daily, weekly, and annual maintenance is performed
- Effectively complete additional assigned duties as necessary
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Must have 3+ years of production experience
- Must have 2+ years of proven leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to trouble shoot with clientele while remaining patient and providing the highest level of customer service
- Leadership experience, successfully motivating and coaching others
- Writing and following SOPs, using SOPs for training
- Masters skills of multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks and working independently
- Strong communicator and team player with respect for co-workers, supervisors, and managers
- Strong numerical ability as it pertains to inventory and reporting
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to lift, drag, carry, and manipulate hoses, parts, pumps, buckets, and reservoirs
- Ability to twist / turn and stand / walk on a continuous basis
- Ability to work on your feet for over eight hours at a time
- Ability to work in loud production environments (80+ db)
- Ability to work with chemicals of varying composition
- Ability to work in damp / wet areas
- Ability to work at heights (eg. Scissor lift, top of vessels, ladders)
- Ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as necessary
