Marketing Associate (Part-time)
COMPANY DESCRIPTION: ICNC works to strengthen the companies in the Kinzie Industrial Corridor on Chicago's Nearwest Side Community. In addition to representing and providing assistance to hundreds of companies in its community, ICNC owns and operates the Fulton-Carroll Center (FCC) incubator, which houses 100 small business tenants in its 416,000 square foot facility.
Position Activities & Responsibilities:
The Marketing Associate will provide support to and be responsible for a wide range of enterprise wide marketing activities and day to day delivery of marketing and brand management services, executing marketing strategy, enhancing ICNC’s visibility and communication channels between all stakeholders. This is a part-time position and reports to the Director of Small Business Development Center.

Activities include:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and PR
- Create and distribute monthly newsletter and weekly emails
- Develop and execute incubator space marketing strategy across all marketing channels
- Identify PR and news opportunities and write PR content including press releases
- Develop and maintain relationships with local news and press contacts
- Organize and maintain all marketing assets including logos and photos
- Identify other organizations and partners to help enhance ICNC’s visibility
Website and Social Media
- Manage ICNC’s website including updating content, monitoring effectiveness, and making improvements
- Develop and implement social media strategy and calendar across all platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
- Monitor and manage ICNC’s online presence and reputation
- Create marketing materials, communication plans, registration pages, etc. for events and seminars
OTHER PROJECTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and update marketing materials including brochures, fact sheets, donor information, annual report, etc.
- Work with Directors to develop and maintain brand strategy, messaging, and brand guidelines
- Enhance communication channels with incubator clients and their employees
- Assist with the coordination and set-up of large quarterly events
- Plan and execute incubator networking events
- Manage workshop/seminar logistics, material, and administrative tasks including sign-in sheets, questionnaires, etc.
Qualifications:
- Two-year college degree or a minimum of two years relevant experience
- Strong communication and creative skills including writing content and developing materials
- Excellent networking and relationship development skills
- Experience managing social media platforms and websites
- Experience Adobe and Microsoft suites
- Team player that can work across all functions to achieve goals
- Self-starter that is energetic, creative, proactive, and responsible
- Excellent administrative and organization skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve and exercise good judgment with minimal supervision
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and creativity
- Great follow-up skills
- Able to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadlines
- Candidates may be subject to random drug testing
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Casual, open, 6,000 sq ft. office environment, shared with a full-time, part-time and intern staff of fourteen

- Hourly rate is $15-$20; commensurate with experience
